G2A UNDER FIRE from Developers - The Know Game News
00:09:17
G2A's been in hot water with developers recently. Since their deal with Gearbox to distribute Bulletstorm: Full Clip fell apart over accusations that the Steam key reseller operates a grey marketplace, they've been struggling to get their message across. Which is why a G2A rep decided to present at a developers conference. What could go wrong?Linkdump: Written By: Eddy RivasEdited By: Kdin JenzenHosted By: Ashley Jenkins and Mica BurtonGet More News ALL THE TIME: Follow The Know on Twitter: Follow The Know on Facebook: Rooster Teeth Store: Rooster Teeth: Business Inquiries: Subscribe to the RT Channel: Subscribe to the AH Channel: Subscribe to the Let's Play Channel: Subscribe to The Know Channel: Subscribe to the Red vs. Blue Channel: Subscribe to the Funhaus Channel: Subscribe to the Slow Mo Guys Channel:

So stupid in the comments, the first what 10 or 15 comments were people typing 4 keys to be first in comments, grow up dudes.

Worst part is, those who buy from G2A will continue to do so for the same reason they all say: «I've never had a problem with it so why should I?»

I'm happy Gearbox pulled out of that deal, I don't want one of my favourite developers to be seen as shady

You'd be surprised. No such thing as bad press. I bet g2a is laughing all the way to the bank with all this coverage.

This just in G2A continues to lie about not being a scam site.

I'm just wondering if and when a lawsuit will happen. Because arguing back and forth really solves nothing. It might even give G2A more free advertising to people who don't care what happens to developers.

Why even bother to counter the criticisms if you don't have anything better to say than we have 40% women employees or you have hardworking employees.

Honestly I think devs should try to get the banks to go against them for buying and selling stolen property instead of the devs fronting the kickback bill.

sorry but there is no reason why a digital download should be full price. 40 should be max. no box no cd and no shipping to stores which also cost money. lower your price then i'll get it «legally»

Like a boss. Their argument such as ebay is a good one. When eBay sells stolen goods the manufacturer dosnt gets a cut. Developers should get charge back insurance and they wouldn't lose the money.

I wouldn't be surprised if g2a is the one running fraudlent purchases then selling the keys for 90% of the original price on their site

lol they already have 70% bc key already bought and reseller just re-sell. They accuse G2A without numbers, how many keys from G2A are stolen in %. Dev just want to be in control everywhere…

The only reason G2A employ so many women is because they can pay them less than men for doing the same job.; )

You guys were throwing in your own biased opinions against g2a that 1) don't belong in a «news» segment and 2) made no sense, like who cares if he wears a hat??
MechanoidWarhead
03:19
If devs want to take my support away from G2A, then they need to do one of two things. Either they need to let me resell my Steam games/keys when I don't want to play them and buy «pre-owned» keys at a lower cost, OR lower the cost of video games. XCOM2 was not worth $80.

This seems to be the year of PR fails...perhaps this is G2A's way of advertising now so more people will actually know about them… i honestly had no idea they existed at all until about a week ago.
