Nintendo Switch MOST SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH EVER for Nintendo? - The Know Game News
00:06:54
Nintendo Switch hasn't even been out a week, but numbers coming in look pretty promising for Nintendo's new hybrid console. It's on track to leave Wii U in the dust, thankfully, and is even outperforming Wii launch numbers in most regions.Linkdump: Written By: Brian GaarEdited By: Kdin JenzenHosted By: Ashley Jenkins and Adam EllisGet More News ALL THE TIME: Follow The Know on Twitter: Follow The Know on Facebook: Rooster Teeth Store: Rooster Teeth: Business Inquiries: Subscribe to the RT Channel: Subscribe to the AH Channel: Subscribe to the Let's Play Channel: Subscribe to The Know Channel: Subscribe to the Red vs. Blue Channel: Subscribe to the Funhaus Channel: Subscribe to the Slow Mo Guys Channel:

I'm quite surprised honestly.

People love their hype, and bafflingly love nintendo as well despite how konami-lite they are.

Everyone seems to forget that every console has launch issues, just wait a little longer.

No way. I call BS! WiiU had a great start too, it was also promised lots of 3rd party support like the Switch and look how that turned out…

I just don't know how their sales will continue through to the holiday when Mario drops Zelda can only go so far. Maybe mariokart will help, most casual players (particularly parents shopping for their kids) won't realize it's not a new game. Time will tell, I've made the investment and I love it, I just hope it gets the software it deserves. It needs third parties to make games specifically for it, triple A ports really aren't going to happen, so Nintendo needs to throw some of its newfound revenue around.

It's the same people who bought the Wii U that are buying the Switch, give it a year and the sales of the Switch will be 'not meeting sales predictions' and will quickly be forgotten

I'll wait till the end of the year and see what it looks like there, both in term of bugfixes, dead pixel reports, and new quality games… Oh and prices and availability.

For everyone talking about the Crowbcat Video, hes done similar videos on the other consoles. Almost every new product is bound to have issues.

The switch could've been the biggest of all time if the supply kept up with demand

I haven't heard anyone talking about the switch at my college or seen anyone using it in the student union.

It's not really fair to claim that the switch has launched with problems when you literally only have a handful of cases of seemingly defective products. There will always be a certain percentage of every piece of hardware that will be defective. If it isn't something wide spread then it isn't something that should be reported on.

Hell no it can't be bigger than the Wii I mean the Wii could've outsold the ps2 if Nintendo had supplied the high demand.

Switch is trash. No wonder Nintendo didn't give away the specs. It's weak as hell. Even the wireless for controllers and the wireless for internet is trash. Have fun paying for that.
Who ever heard of a console that scratches itself? LMAO!

Nintendo haters can't stop the Switch.

But the reason Nintendo consoles having hardware issues is a problem is mostly because Nintendo typically doesn't have hardware issues at launch. You'll get a few here and there but for the most part a glitched day one console is rare from Nintendo.
