It’s getting cold in Japan, and nothing is quite as delightful on a cold, winter’s day as holding a Nikuman — Japanese Steam Bun — as you walk outside. Think of these as Hot Pockets but not gross. Come, let us show you what they’re all about!Thank you Squarespace for sponsoring this video, just as we’re starting to give our website a makeover. Simon and Martina, I've been subscribed since 2013. The last time I remember commenting on one of your videos was...2013. After hearing you guys talk recently about how much you love to interact with people in the comments, I realized that I want to be a little more involved in the Nasty community. :D I think I'll try to comment on new videos and livestreams from now on. For now, I just want to say a big HELLO to the both of you and I hope you find more wonderful hand-warming foods in Japan this winter. ☺

Does the 711 Pizza Bun contain meat? I think already know the answer but...wishful vegetarian thinking haha

Was it freezing that day? It looks so cold! It's been around -5 to -11° F in New Hampshire, USA for the last 2 weeks. What's it like in Tokyo? Happy New Year!

I don't remember this being covered in the video but steam buns are typically seasonal. They are that good, and they are worth making the trip just to get them.  Nikuman is a fall / winter item and most konbini stop serving nikuman and oden in late spring.

Simon, you need to eat breakfast. It's the most important meal of the day. (Aside from second breakfast)

the economics of the convenience store food in japan baffles me. no way in hell a 7/11 in the states would provide that many varieties of fresh/real prepared food at that price. Every morning. So many fresh meals.
who?
how?
when?
huh?

I never had those buns when I lived in Japan. I have a real craving now. Controversial topic: which conbini is your favourite?

This is how you’re supposed to show and appreciate other people’s culture and country. Not what Logan Paul does.

Kinda bummed that even if I do make it to Japan someday I will never be able to try all this amazing food! I have a lot of dietary limitations so I feel like if I went I would just have to eat rice and nothing else. It is easier to find things to eat here in California where my medically necessary diet restrictions have become kind of trendy(???) oddly enough. I don't know how I would do in foreign countries. I still love your food videos though and shall live vicariously through your tastebuds!

That's a rooster, the top part is called a comb and the «upside down heart» part is called a wattle.
